Sometimes in life, there are companies that just take your breath away. Their history, passion and uncompromising values truly set them apart, allowing them to stand the test of time for generations. Vitale Barberis Canonico is one of those companies, and one of the top global names in fabric suiting. The same family has run the company since 1663, and are the proud owners of the world's oldest mill. One of the remarkable qualities about Barberis is their location in Biella in the northern Italian Alps, home to some of the purest water in the world, and one of the key ingredients in wool production.
What we love about this company is the fact that their exquisite wools have their origins right here in Australia, in New South Wales. The company uses Merino sheep bred under the strictest of regimens, on farms owned by themselves or which they have an exclusive arrangement with. We could not be prouder to bring our customers fabrics that have their origins right here at home.
We have personally visited the VBC mill and production facilities in Biella and can attest to their unwavering quality.
